General Data Protection Regulation

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was adopted on 27 April 2016 and was enforced in the UK from 25 May 2018. Since the UK’s exit of the European Union, the GDPR has been retained by the UK with the following modifications illustrated in the Keeling Schedule.

This guidance is not comprehensive but rather highlights key areas credit unions should start to consider when seeking to comply with GDPR. ABCUL will publish updates to this guidance  will raise awareness in other ways, such as running eXpresso sessions and speaking at forum events.
