Loans Officer

General Manager/Administrator
Firesave Credit UnionHours: The applicant will work a nominal 35 hour week, 8am to 3pm though this is flexible. Initially this will over 5 days but may drop to 4 possible. Occasion out-of-hours duties may occur, such as Board meetings. Travel expenses will be paid for any journey other than home to work.

Firesave Credit Union Ltd in is looking for General Manager/Administrator based at Ladywood Fire Station, Birmingham. Firesave is a small to medium sized credit union with 1109 members at present. We issue approximately 250-300 loans per year.
The manager will be responsible to the Board of Directors and will supervise one part-time member of staff ,though this may increase to two. Training in our systems/policies and procedures will be given. We currently use the Sercle accounting system.

Lead the team of 9 staff

And, in particular, embed and develop the new brand name, ‘The Money Co-op’, as we seek to grow into new sectors

Experience of working in a credit union or other financial services providers or the co-operative movement would be desirable but not a requirement. Education to degree level or equivalent experience is expected.
