The Penny Post Group Win Big at National Apprenticeship Awards
The Penny Post Group were thrilled to announce that it was awarded winners and crowned SME Apprentice Employer of the Year at the National Apprenticeship and Skills Awards for the West Midlands. This recognition reflects its ongoing commitment to empowering its apprentices.

The Penny Post Group were thrilled to announce that it was awarded winners and crowned SME Apprentice Employer of the Year at the National Apprenticeship and Skills Awards for the West Midlands. This recognition reflects its ongoing commitment to empowering its apprentices.
Last year, the credit union were delighted to receive a Highly Commended award in the SME Apprentice Employer category, so to now be named the regional winner is an incredible achievement.
“The award marks our commitment to our apprentices and we couldn’t be proud to support younger people in the workplace,” says a spokesperson for the credit union.
The National Apprenticeship and Skills Awards, which celebrate its 21st anniversary in 2024, are designed to honour the exceptional contributions of both apprentices and the employers who support them.
“It’s a privilege to be recognized at the awards and we are immensely proud to be part of these celebrations, and to see our dedication to apprenticeship excellence acknowledged on this level,” added the spokesperson.
Helen our Learning and Development Officer, Helen reflected on the awards ceremony and the win, saying: “At Penny Post we are proud to employ apprentices, so receiving the award for SME Apprentice Employer of the Year for the West Midlands is really the icing on the cake.
“Since 2017 we have invested in the National Apprenticeship Programme and thrilled that all our apprentices who have completed their training have remained with us in full time employment.”
As regional champions, Penny Post will be heading to London on 27th November, where they’ll join other finalists from across the country at the national finals.
