The Money Co-op is delighted to announce the appointment of Lisa Parry as its new Chief Executive Officer. Lisa steps into the role bringing 25 years of experience from the financial services sector, alongside a long-standing commitment to the co-operative and credit union movement.
Lisa has served on The Money Co-op’s board since 2020, contributing to its strategic growth and championing member-focused innovation. She now takes the helm as CEO, after moving on from The Co-operative Bank, where she led Performance, Forecasting and Analysis for Current Accounts and Savings. Lisa has also held senior roles with The Nationwide Building Society, Yorkshire Building Society and HBOS, with significant experience in digital transformation, product innovation and strategic planning.
Lisa takes on the leadership of The Money Co-op at a pivotal time in its journey, following a recent rebrand and renewed focus on accessible, ethical financial services for people working across the co-operative, retail and charity sectors. She succeeds former CEO Matt Bland, who took up the Chief Executive role at ABCUL in June.
Lisa Parry said: “I’m incredibly proud to be stepping into this role. As someone who has worked in and alongside co-operative organisations for much of my career, I’m about the difference The Money Co-op can make to people’s lives. At a time when many are feeling the pressure of rising costs, we’ve got a real opportunity to grow our impact – making money simpler, fairer, and more human.”
“And as a previous board member, I’ve seen first-hand the strength of our co-operative roots – and I’m excited to build on that, with a focus on growth, great service, and products that truly meet our members’ needs.”
“The Money Co-op is here to offer a genuine alternative in financial services – one that puts people before profit, every time. That’s a mission I truly believe in, and one I look forward to championing as CEO.”
