The Friends of Enterprise Lottery Sees Everybody Winning

Back in November 2021 Friends of Enterprise was established to benefit the local community and members of Enterprise Credit Union. Since then, the lottery draw has grown in size every month with June’s draw having over 8000 entrants and five of whom won an equal share of £4,029. The lottery was established to benefit the local area, and so a matching contribution of £4,029 was also divided and distributed between five local community groups in Merseyside.

Since its establishment, the Friends of Enterprise lottery has given out 51 donations to Merseyside community groups totalling £56,343.70 and an equal sum has been paid out to 73 prize-winning members. The first Friends of Enterprise lottery had 1,650 entries which has now risen to over 8,000 entries and the cost for an entry is just £1 with a maximum of 10 entries each month.

Karen Bennett CBE, CEO of Enterprise Credit Union said: “From the offset it was important to us that we supported our local grass root community groups as well as so many of our lucky members along the way. We have seen first-hand the impact those donations have made on a local level from local food banks to community centres across Merseyside. We are delighted to have donated over £56,000 to those groups and hopefully will see those funds increase as we move forward.”
