Successful Merger of Swan and Oxfordshire Credit Unions

The Boards Swan Community Bank and Oxfordshire Credit Union are pleased to announce that the merger to become one organisation has been completed.

All previous Oxfordshire Credit Union members are now part of Swan Community Bank, and can access their accounts either through the website or through downloading the mobile phone app.

A spokesperson for Swan Community Bank said: “This merger will provide a more accessible service to the Oxfordshire members, and enable them to benefit from future development plans.”

It has been a collaborative effort by both credit unions supported by their technical partner incuto, who has been an integral part of delivering the back-office solution for Swan Community Bank to enable the merger to happen in a controlled manner.

Following the completion of the merger, Swan Community Bank union has 3150 active members and covers Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Milton Keynes.

With a larger Board and a committed in-house operational team, it now hopes to focus for the rest of 2021 on building on the membership experience that currently enables members to save, borrow money and withdraw funds quickly and easily.
