South Manchester Credit Union have boosted its digital inclusiveness by implementing an accessibility toolbar onto its website.

The partnership with Recite Me aims to provide better accessibility tools for users of the South Manchester Credit Union website. The toolbar functionality includes the ability to translate full webpages into other languages, change the colour theme of the webpage, and alter text font & size.

South Manchester Credit Union have boosted its digital inclusiveness by implementing an accessibility toolbar onto its website.

The partnership with Recite Me aims to provide better accessibility tools for users of the South Manchester Credit Union website. The toolbar functionality includes the ability to translate full webpages into other languages, change the colour theme of the webpage, and alter text font & size.

There are many people who may benefit from such tools being available, especially those who may not speak English as their first language, are neurodivergent, or have visual impairments.

Sheenagh Young, CEO of South Manchester Credit Union, said, “It’s really exciting for us to announce our website upgrade to broaden accessibility with the Recite Me toolbar. Credit unions design our services to include all people, and we hope these new tools will truly make everyone feel welcome.”
