Serve and Protect CU are proud to be an ethical alternative to high-cost creditors by delivering a record £4.6 million of affordable credit to their members in March 2022
This calendar month, Serve and Protect CU have provided £4.6 million in loans to its members. This record-breaking figure is a key indicator of success and sustainable growth for the Credit Union.
Reaching this milestone has helped to re-enforce the values of the organisation, which are centered around improving financial resilience of those who serve and protect the nation. This is especially important, as we see the cost of living increasing in the UK, spurred by increasing fuel and energy prices and the rise of inflation. Of this figure, £1.8 million was issued to help our members consolidate their existing loans, which in turn helps them to save money on their monthly repayments to help combat the increasing costs of living.
As well as helping to provide affordable credit, Serve and Protect CU are also helping a record amount of members to save, with the option to make contributions directly from their salary.
Paul Norgrove, CEO at Serve and Protect CU said: “I am very proud of everyone at Serve and Protect CU, they have shown great determination and a strong will to serve our members which has ultimately resulted in a record-breaking month for lending. We are proud to be an ethical alternative to high-cost creditors and we continue to stand by our members while strengthening their financial resilience. I look forward to the continued success of Serve and Protect CU, as we provide a bright future for our community of members.”
