Police Credit Union’s umbrella brand, ‘Serve and Protect Credit Union’, has recorded a monthly lending record of £3,113,021 in January 2020. This represents a 35% increase on January 2019 and a £565,894 improvement on the credit union’s previous lending record of £2,547,127, which was set in October 2019.
“Our performance in January 2020 is further evidence of our increasing level of support to those who serve and protect our nation,” says Paul Norgrove, CEO. “We remain focussed on ensuring employees within the Police, Military and Prison Service know that there is an ethical alternative – there to help them save, and there for them when they need to borrow”.
The credit union has committed itself to improve the financial resilience of those who serve and protect. It is this passion that drove Police Credit Union Limited to introduce its umbrella brand – Serve and Protect CU – in January 2020.
Serve and Protect CU now sits above-tailored brands that the credit union has developed for each market it serves: Police CU; Military CU; and Prison CU. “The re-brand will provide more clarity and help develop a closer identity with our members,” says Paul. “By doing so, we will be able to deliver a more personalised approach to improving financial resilience, that is relevant to their employment”.
