The #StayForceFit Challenge is set to begin on the 1st of February 2022, which has been created and will be hosted by Serve and Protect CU. Police Officers, Staff, families, and friends across the UK are set to participate in the challenge throughout February 2022.
The #StayForceFit Challenge is an annual event that aims to inspire people to work as a team, while also encouraging people to exercise and look after their personal wellbeing. Last year’s challenge was a huge success, and the response was overwhelming with over 62,000 miles of exercise logged for 16 police forces. There was some amazing feedback from participants who loved taking part in the twofold challenge to potentially win their force welfare fund £1,000 whilst getting fit at the same time.
South Wales Police won the challenge with 34,000 miles of exercise and received £1,000 for their force welfare fund. Norfolk Constabulary came in second and Dyfed-Powys Police in third, winning £250 and £100 respectively for their own force welfare funds.
To get involved next month, Serve and Protect are asking:
- Tag @serveandprotect and the Police Force you are exercising for.
- Remember to also include the hashtag #StayForceFit.
- The Force with the most collective miles will win £1,000 for their Force Welfare Fund.
Rob Lovesey, Business Development Manager at Serve and Protect said: “The #StayForceFit Challenge is something to look forward to every February. We were blown away with the number of miles covered in the 2021 challenge, and we can’t wait to see people participating again this year.
“We are proud to provide a much-needed boost to the police welfare funds, while also encouraging people to get moving! Exercise can help morale, and we know that working as a team is key to the success of the #StayForceFit Challenge.”
