Twitter is taking off with the Serve and Protect Credit Union  and TeamPolice #StayForceFit lockdown challenge.

The initiative launched by Serve and Protect CU aims to help keep you fit during lockdown, but by taking part you will also help improve the chances of winning £1,000 for your Police Force welfare fund. Whichever Police Force clocks up the most combined miles within February wins – anyone can take part.

“It’s fantastic to see the response from the campaign – in the first week we have seen participants complete over 1,000 miles of exercise and the numbers don’t appear to be easing. Since the weekend Twitter hasn’t stopped – at one point we had people submitting their distances online every minute,” says Rob Lovesey, Business Development Manager at Serve and Protect CU. “Not only have we seen the impact on our social media following, but it’s no surprise we have seen a spike in membership and loan applications.”

Rob added: “The idea came from a simple brainstorming session within the Business Development team. We dedicate an hour each month, purely for creative thinking – an idea that came from one of the team. Since launching these sessions it has really helped drive inspiration for marketing campaigns and stakeholder engagement.

“We even had the last team meeting whilst exercising, walking and talking, in order to help us break away from being stuck behind a screen.”

See how you can take part below – each week a league table of results will be published.
