Dragonsavers Credit Union received the royal seal of approval when HRHs The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited Treorchy.
President of Dragonsavers, Ian Gyles joined Manager Christina Stoneman and Finance Manager Melanie Best to meet Prince Charles and Camilla.
Christina said: “It was a real pleasure to welcome them to Treorchy and although our time with them was brief it was a good opportunity to explain the benefits that our credit union bring to people across the county borough.
“The Duchess has long since been an advocate for the credit union movement and understand why ethical saving and affordable loan providers like us are essential to communities.
“It was fitting that we were one of the businesses to meet them because of the positive impact Dragonsavers has on the lives of thousands of members across the region.”
The future monarch visited the Rhondda to acknowledge the success of Treorchy’s businesses in successfully winning Britain’s Best High Street Award.
During the visit they were introduced to a number of local businesses before the Prince pulled a pint of beer at The Lion on the main street.
