Following a member survey, Riverside Credit Union has opened a new branch to help its members have easier access to services in its community.
A survey to members concluded that a new branch was required, Riverside Credit Union opened a new branch, last month with the help of Lord Mayor of Liverpool Cllr Anna Rothery, & MP for Garston & Halewood Maria Eagle.
The credit union’s service in the community is very much needed by members and this is proven in a significant year of milestones achieved. Throughout its financial year, loans have risen to £2.2 Million and also over £2.7 million saved. With membership surpassing the 3,200 mark, Chief Executive of Riverside Credit Union, Mike Knight said: “We knew there was a need for premises in the area (Garston) but the survey showed us just how keen the people of Garston are to have their own branch”.
