Plane Saver Credit Union wins Best Credit Union South at Consumer Credit Awards

Plane Saver Credit Union is celebrating winning ‘Best Credit Union South’ at this year’s Consumer Credit Awards.

In its fifth year the Consumer Credit Awards, aim to find the UK’s best credit firms and their partners. Wholly voted for by customers, these awards aim to find the most customer-centric financial companies. Over 19,000 consumers took part in the voting process which took place during the COVID-19 lockdown period.

These awards are run by Smart Money People, the UK’s review and research website for financial services. Michael Fotis, founder of Smart Money People, said “At a time of significant turbulence for many consumers and credit firms alike, we’re delighted to see such a range of firms announced as finalists. All our finalists should be proud of the great customer feedback they’ve received.”

CEO of Plane Saver, Valerie Walwyn said: “I am delighted to announce Plane Saver Credit Union was awarded ‘Best Credit Union South’ at this year’s Smart Money People Consumer Credit Awards.

“We were also finalists for ‘Firm of the year’ and ‘Best Loan Provider for £2.5k and under’. Also announced at the online awards ceremony, five credit unions were recognised as winners, this highlights the important role these firms continue to play in the lives of some of the most financially excluded consumers in the UK.
