Penny Post Staff Member Wins at Apprentice Awards

The  Black Country Apprenticeship Awards were revealed last week,  and Penny Post Credit Union’s, Jas Kaur has been awarded Apprentice Champion of the Year 2022 for the West Midlands.

The  Black Country Apprenticeship Awards were revealed last week,  and Penny Post Credit Union’s, Jas Kaur has been awarded Apprentice Champion of the Year 2022 for the West Midlands.

Judged were looking for strong passionate apprentices who showcase how they proactively go above and beyond their normal duties and continue to promote apprenticeships as an excellent career route.

Jas joined Penny Post back in 2017 and has gone from strength to strength, from Apprentice to Chief Operations Officer. “At Penny Post, we’re all proud of Jas and all her achievements throughout her time here,” says CEO of Penny Post, Matt Goulding. “Jas has been a team member for over 5 years now and she is an exemplary leader. She continues to push herself professionally and is valuable member of our senior management team.

“It is great to see one of our apprentices progress like this and being awarded Apprentice Champion of the Year 2022 for the West Midlands is an amazing achievement and very well-deserved.”

Reflecting on the good news, Jas said: “I was so happy when I found out I was a finalist! The whole team was so pleased for me and have been cheering me on. Winning Apprentice Champion of the Year for the West Midlands 2022 is such a great achievement.”

For the third year running, Penny Post were also awarded ‘Highly Commended‘ for the West Midlands Regional Finals in the 2022 National Apprenticeship Awards. This category celebrates employers who can showcase their commitment, contribution and the success that apprentices have brought to their organisation.
