Metro Moneywise Credit Union Reports on Successful Year

Reporting to members in its annual highlights, the employee-based credit union, Metro Moneywise Credit Union, reflected on another positive year with a 4.6% increase in lending and over £11m in savings.

The credit union was delighted to welcome over 700 new members in 2022 who could take advantage of its recently transformed digital services, which has been pivotal to its success’ over the past couple of years. Over 50% of total membership are users of the Metro Moneywise Online App, which allows members to watch savings grow each month and keep an eye on their borrowing. Members can also apply for a loan through the app, which includes a loan calculator so members can work out a repayment plan to suit their needs before making an application.

Chief Executive of Metro Moneywise, Ciara Davies thanked the credit union’s staff for providing such a valued service.  Ciara said: “Every year we publish the highlights of our financial year in preparation for our AGM, and even though last year was a challenging year we still managed to have lots of highlights.

“We pride ourselves on treating people like individuals, which is why we’re so proud of our 5-star Google reviews. We love to share the lovely comments we receive, and producing an annual highlights report allows us to reflect on what the team at Metro Moneywise has achieved in the last 12 months.”
