Following a couple of years of discussions between the two organisations, Credit Union for Brent and Ealing (CUBE) and Hillingdon Credit Union have finally completed a merger.

Welcoming over 800 members with savings of £1m, President of Hillingdon Credit Union, Neil Jones said: “This merger provides us the opportunity to continue to grow and offer enhanced product features to more residents in our common bond”.

Steve Allen, Hillingdon’s Business Manager said “We have been providing back office services to CUBE for just over a year and this merger provides an opportunity to further reduce a number of duplicated costs and improve sustainability, which will benefit all of our members”.

“As we move to a fully digitised offering and a strategy of growth, we look forward to increasing the number of members we can assist with competitive loans and savings products both through natural growth and even a further merger, if there is a suitable opportunity” continued Steve.

Commenting on the merger between CUBE and Hillingdon Credit Union, Robert Kelly said: “The merger between both credit unions is an excellent example of two organisations collaborating to achieve greater sustainability and service provision for its combined member base.”

“This is a real and tangible sign of our Vision 2025 Strategic Plan in action creating great synergy for the future.”
