A campaign created by SoundPound – the Consortium of Greater Manchester Community Credit Unions – is launching its social media campaign this month to raise awareness of credit unions with the theme of ‘How’s your balance?’

‘How’s your balance’ asks people to think about their finances whilst having a fun double meaning; challenging them to balance something on themselves. It aims to get its campaign hashtag used as much as possible, raising awareness for the credit union movement.

Marketing Team Lead at South Manchester Credit Union. Ryan Cusack said: “The challenge aims to have fun whilst raising awareness of credit unions. We want everyone to learn about the positive impact credit unions have in their communities and how they are here to support people through saving and ethical lending.  Credit unions are the finance industry’s best kept secret and our goal is to let as many people know about us as possible!

“All you have to do is take a photo or video of yourself balancing something on your body and post it on social media with the hashtags: #HowsYourBalance & #CreditUnionAwareness”
