Enterprise Credit Union’s 36th AGM: Celebrating Growth and Community Impact
Enterprise Credit Union’s 36th Annual General Meeting took place on Friday, 15th November at St Aidan’s Parish Centre Club in Huyton, marking another year of growth, community success, and positive impact.

Enterprise Credit Union’s 36th Annual General Meeting took place on Friday, 15th November at St Aidan’s Parish Centre Club in Huyton, marking another year of growth, community success, and positive impact.
Over 1,450 members joined virtually, making this the most attended AGM yet, with many others attending in person. The AGM was streamed live via the mobile app, reflecting the union’s commitment to embracing technology and improving engagement with members.
Tony Denny, Chair of Enterprise Credit Union, opened the meeting by highlighting the continued progress and the credit union’s role in fostering financial resilience. He shared, “This AGM is about collaboration and ensuring that our members have a voice in the decisions that shape their financial futures. Our success is built on people helping people, and that drives everything we do.”
As of this year, the credit union holds £45 million in assets, including £36 million in loans and £9 million in reserves, strengthening its position as a community-focused financial institution. The union’s growth continues, with a current membership of 24,000, demonstrating its commitment to supporting local communities.
A major highlight of the evening was the announcement of a 2.5% dividend, totaling £743,000. This dividend has been applied to all eligible accounts, marking a tangible return on the trust and support members have shown over the years.
Key achievements presented at the AGM included:
- Financial Health: £45 million in assets, £36 million in loans, and £9 million in reserves.
- Dividend: A 2.5% dividend distribution to members.
- New Developments: The union will expand its services in 2024 with new branches, pop-up facilities, and innovative products such as the Member Protection Plan to further enhance financial resilience.
Ken and Anne McGlashan were also honoured for their exceptional service and dedication to Enterprise Credit Union. Ken spoke on behalf of both, reflecting on the cooperative spirit that defines the union’s mission. “Serving on the board has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. The true strength of our organisation lies in its people. We are a cooperative, and that means always putting our members first,” said Ken McGlashan.
Looking to the future, the credit union is excited about continued growth and the introduction of new services. The year ahead will see further expansion, with additional products and services aimed at improving the financial well-being of all members.
