Enterprise Credit Union Merges with St Helens Credit Union

This week, Enterprise Credit Union (ECU) completed a full merger with St Helens/Sutton Credit Union, transferring over 1,400 members to the 23,000+ strong membership of ECU. St Helens Credit Union was set up over 20 years ago by a small group of volunteers at St Anne’s Church in Sutton, St Helens. It first operated as a savings club for the local community and then became a Credit Union in 1991.

This week, Enterprise Credit Union (ECU) completed a full merger with St Helens/Sutton Credit Union, transferring over 1,400 members to the 23,000+ strong membership of ECU. St Helens Credit Union was set up over 20 years ago by a small group of volunteers at St Anne’s Church in Sutton, St Helens. It first operated as a savings club for the local community and then became a Credit Union in 1991.

Commenting on the merger, Chair of the Board Tony Denny said: “We are delighted to welcome St Helens/Sutton Credit Union members into our ECU family. The merger gives us the opportunity to grow and provide an even better service to the people of St Helens.”

Enterprise Credit Union were very pleased when they were approached by St Helens Credit/Sutton Credit Union, CEO Karen Bennett said: “We were thrilled that SHCU chose Enterprise to support their members, safe in the knowledge that all of their hard work over the past 30 years will continue.”
