Credit Unions Win Big at the Consumer Credit Awards

Earlier this month, organisations from within the consumer credit sector found out the winners of the Consumer Credit Awards – hosted by Smart Money People, a hub for financial services reviews and insight. There were three awards up for grabs for credit union entrants which were the best credit union (North), best credit union (South), and the best credit union loan provider.

This year Sheffield Credit Union took home the win for the best credit union in the North with an overall consumer rating of 4.95 and the same figure achieved for the credit union’s customer service rating. Sheffield Credit Union also scored 4.92 for value for money and had a net promoter score of +96.23. The credit union said: “We pride ourselves on the excellent service we provide to our members and it’s great that our team here in Sheffield is recognised by our fellow consumer credit professionals and beyond”.

Notts & Lincs Credit Union were also recognised for their services to members and were “highly commended” in the category.

Furthermore, Plane Saver Credit Union (PSCU) was crowned the best credit union in the South for 2023. Plane Saver received an overall consumer rating of 4.88 and a customer service rating of 4.87. The credit union scored 4.86 for value for money and has a net promoter score of +92.60. PSCU said: “We are absolutely delighted to be crowned the winner of Best Credit Union (South) in this year’s Consumer Credit Awards […] We love our members, and we appreciate every single one of them who took the time to vote for us. We also love our team of incredible people without whom we couldn’t have achieved this for a second time.”.

This year, Central Liverpool Credit Union nabbed the title of the best credit union loan provider achieving an overall consumer rating of 4.96, customer service rating of 4.93 and value for money score of 4.96. Central Liverpool also boasts a net promoter score of +97.16 and a member review described the credit union as having the “Best product, best service, best people.”
