Credit Unions Win at Consumer Credit Awards 2021

This year’s Consumer Credit Awards saw HEY Credit Union awarded the award for the ‘Treating Customers Fairly Champion Award’ and Penny Post Credit Union winning the ‘Best Credit Union South Award’.

This year’s Consumer Credit Awards saw HEY Credit Union awarded the award for the ‘Treating Customers Fairly Champion Award’ and Penny Post Credit Union winning the ‘Best Credit Union South Award’.

Commenting on the announcement, Jacqueline Dewey, Chief Executive of Smart Money People who run the Consumer Credit Awards, said:

“Congratulations to all the winners in our Consumer Credit Awards 2021. The standard of voting this year has been incredibly high, and all the finalists should be proud of their achievements. After another challenging year, it has been great to see the nominated credit firms continue to offer such high levels of satisfaction in the eyes of those who matter most, their customers.”

2021 was a record year for voting in the sixth Consumer Credit Awards, with over 31,000 votes received across 15 categories.

On hearing the news, Matt Goulding, Penny Post CEO, said “This is a fabulous achievement and great recognition for the work that the whole team have done over the past 12 months. The award is voted for entirely by members, which makes it even more meaningful.”

Penny Post Chief Operating Officer, Jaspreet Kaur, added “I’m so pleased with this news and proud of our team. Despite working from home since the start of the pandemic, we have not lost a single minute of opening time and have continued to serve and improve our services for our great members.”

John Smith, HEY Credit Union’s Chief Executive, commented: “As these awards are voted for by consumers, we have our members to thank for getting us on to the winners list. It’s wonderful that they think so much of us and that we’ve been able to bring this award back to the Humber Region.  We understand that we received a 100% score in the consumer reviews, which is a fantastic achievement.

“Although it was the consumer voice that produced this result, we know these things don’t happen by chance. It is the team effort, day in and day out, to go the extra mile, generate trust and loyalty, produce great solutions and treat our member-customers fairly and with kindness that has led to this amazing outcome for HEY Credit Union. The directors and I are so proud of our team!”
