Last week, Commsave Credit Union celebrated another highly successful year at their Annual General Meeting.

A total of 177 members were in attendance to hear from the Board of Directors and senior staff about Commsave’s performance.

During the year ending 30 September 2019, the Credit Union saw total loans and savings grow by 17% and 19% respectively. Members present at the AGM agreed to the board’s proposal for a dividend of 2.25% on savings and, for the third year running, the Credit Union also paid an interest rebate, of 2.25%.

Chairman Kundai Kufamba, said “Our annual members’ survey showed that 97% of members were satisfied or very satisfied with Commsave. None of this could be achieved without the dedication, expertise and hard work of our staff team led by Amanda Ivey, our CEO”.

Members agreed to the proposal from the board to expand Commsave’s common bond, to help the Credit Union meet its strategic objectives of expanding and diversifying its membership.

Commsave CEO Amanda Ivey commented “It was amazing to see so many members attend to ask questions and take a genuine interest in the future direction of our strategic vision.  The staff are looking forward to rising to the challenge of exploring the new opportunities the expansion plans will bring”.

The Board was also delighted to announce the forthcoming launch of Commsave’s new financial wellbeing hub. The hub will launch shortly and provide a range of information and useful tools to boost members’ financial awareness.
