Bradford District Credit Union to Distribute Advent Calendars to Homeless Young People

Bradford District Credit Union (BDCU) have partnered with local community organisation “Bradford Nightstop”, to donate advent calendars to the homeless across communities. The calendars to Bradford Nightstop, in a presentation at City Hall conducted by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Beverley Mullaney.

Bradford District Credit Union (BDCU) have partnered with local community organisation “Bradford Nightstop”, to donate advent calendars to the homeless across communities. The calendars to Bradford Nightstop, in a presentation at City Hall conducted by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Beverley Mullaney.

Deane Narayn-Lee, a local children’s author and long-time Nightstop host, collected the calendars on behalf of the charity. Advent calendars have been donated to a charity that helps homeless young people

“Hosting young people has shown us the real impact of Nightstop’s work,” said Deane. “I’m excited to collaborate with Bradford District Credit Union on a project to improve youth financial awareness.

“These advent calendars will bring joy this season and I thank the Lord Mayor for her warm hospitality.”

Ian Brewer of BDCU said: “Bradford District Credit Union values our strong relationship with the Lord Mayor and our shared commitment to helping the community.

“We’re proud to support Nightstop this Christmas with advent calendars for their service users and host families. It was a pleasure to meet Deane Narayn-Lee, whose dedication to supporting young people is truly inspiring.”

Ms Mullaney added: “I am honoured to support Nightstop and Bradford District Credit Union in their collaborative efforts to assist vulnerable young people in our community.

“This initiative exemplifies the spirit of compassion and cooperation that defines Bradford.”
