Next week, ABCUL’s Young Professionals Network is hosting a week-long series of webinars, podcasts and social events as part of its summer event ‘YP Week’.
A priority of ABCUL is to support a Young Professionals Network (YPN) that has been operating since last year and has successfully held three face to face events for members focusing on the unique role of younger professionals in shaping the future of our sector.
Plans for a further face to face event this year have been cancelled due to uncertainty and instead the YPN Steering Committee has put together a weeklong series of online session both formal and informal to give you a chance to increase your personal and professional knowledge and skills as well as to build your own networks which are so powerful for your development.
There is at least one event on each day with expert speakers covering a range of important topics such as Digital Marketing in your Credit Union during Covid-19, Managing Stress and Anxiety in Work and Beyond, Young Professionals Internationally and also a session with ABCUL CEO, Robert Kelly and ABCUL President, Karen Bennett.
Commenting on YP Week, Robert Kelly said: “Despite the disappointment of being unable to host our Young Professionals Network summer event in person, I couldn’t be prouder to see the sector’s young leaders showing great initiative and adaptability in these testing times.
“The Networks’ mission is to provide a robust and dynamic environment for young credit union professionals to connect, learn and live the sector’s cooperative values. And it’s inspiring to see our dedicated YPN Committee work together to host an action-packed week, with a series of webinars and online social events for the members of our network.
“I look forward to speaking to the network during a live session alongside our ABCUL President, Karen Bennett. Karen and I will talk in detail about ABCUL’s Vision 2025 Strategy with a real focus on what it will mean for our young leaders in the sector and the opportunities it will bring. The future is bright for sure!”
