In partnership with Performance Metrics Ltd, ABCUL is proud to announce the launch of the first-ever ABCUL Member Sentiment Awards. This pioneering initiative celebrates the exceptional dedication of credit unions to upholding Consumer Duty standards, showcasing the values, behaviours, and standards that distinguish credit unions as champions of financial well-being in their communities.
Through independent and anonymous member feedback, these awards will recognise the member-first culture that defines credit unions, with categories that measure Values, Behaviours, and Standards across all seven ABCUL forums. The initiative is designed to spotlight the vital role credit unions play in elevating the financial health of their members while strengthening ABCUL’s ability to represent its members’ perspectives to regulatory bodies like the FCA.
The credit union with the best member sentiment score will be given a contribution of up to £1,500 to send a staff member to join ABCUL at a prestigious international credit union conference event later in 2025.
ABCUL CEO, Robert Kelly said: “This initiative not only celebrates the incredible commitment of credit unions to their members but also reinforces the unique, member-first ethos that sets credit unions apart in the financial services sector. We look forward to showcasing the inspiring work of our members and bringing their voices to the global stage.”
These awards are not affiliated with ABCUL’s conference awards ceremony and will be part of the Friday evening celebrations during the conference weekend, offering a dedicated platform to celebrate the values, behaviours, and standards that make a credit union an essential part of its community.
Anonymous member feedback will shape these awards, highlighting the member-first culture that sets credit unions apart. The credit union with the best member sentiment score will receive a contribution of up to £1,500 to send a staff member to join ABCUL at a prestigious international credit union conference event later in 2025.
Key Dates to Remember:
- Sunday 02 December 2024: Member Sentiment Survey opens
- 07 March 2025: Survey submissions close
- 15 March 2025: Presentation of the awards during the conference weekend (not during the Saturday night ceremony).
Participation in the Awards is available to all current Performance Metric users who have purchased the member survey and for any credit union who wish to sign up for the exclusive member discount rate of £660, providing a valuable opportunity to promote the good values of credit unions through the member survey.
