The ABCUL Annual Conference and AGM is the largest event in the British credit union calendar and on Friday 10 March, the Association will welcome 200+ credit union professionals to the Midland Hotel.

“The two-day event will provide a fantastic opportunity  for credit union board members, staff and volunteers to hear from a wide range of speakers, discussing the issues that are important to them and network with others from the movement.,” says ABCUL CEO, Robert Kelly.

A highlight of the event this year, is the re-launch of the British chapter of the Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN). Director of the Global Women’s Leadership Network in the US, Lena Giakoumopoulos will be speaking at the session, joined also by Councillor Joanna Midgley – Deputy leader of Manchester City Council.

“This is a significant milestone for the British credit union sector, and we are delighted it will be re-launched at our conference,” Robert added.

The conference’s ever popular breakout sessions return with 18 different thought-provoking topics covering updates from regulatory authorities,  paths to new product launch, managing your mental health and also the return of ABCUL’s Young Professionals Network masterclass sessions.

“Everyone at the Association is excited to welcome our members to ABCUL’s flagship event, next week in Manchester,” says Robert. “As always, the conference will be a  unique and exciting networking experience with the opportunity to meet credit union professionals from across the globe.
