It is with a mixture of disappointment and excitement that the Association has announced the ABCUL Annual Conference 2021 will not be a face-to-face event and will move to online delivery.

“Given the ongoing uncertainty around what will be possible in the early part of next year, we felt it was right to make the call now so that we can focus all of our efforts into putting together the best possible online experience for members for 2021,” says ABCUL CEO, Robert Kelly. “The move to an online conference presents huge opportunities to bring in a wider range of speakers, attract even more attendees and to deliver even more value to our members.

“Our ambition for the event is not to poorly imitate a face-to-face event, but to build the best possible online conference experience.

“I am completely convinced that our members will pull together with the Association, as you have done all year, to make this an event we won’t forget. Very soon we’ll have dates in the diary and a programme you can get excited about too.”

ABCUL’s Annual Conference which takes place in March each year, is the largest online gathering of credit union personnel in Britain. It attracts over 300 delegates and high-profile speakers nationally and internationally.

Details of the Conference programme and dates of the event will be published in the coming weeks.
