Next week, Monday 31 January, members of the Association will hear from industry experts in the third installment of its five educational events. ABCUL and its members of the Yorkshire, North-East and Humber Forum have organised five online webinars which will lead up to the World Council’s flagship event in Glasgow 2022.
‘Time to Act’ welcomes industry thought leaders around what the legislative reform package will entail, and how the sector can best adapt to, and utilise, the opportunities that will shortly be available.
“ABCUL and our member credit unions have been party to a long established and multi-faceted lobbying campaign to provide the credit union sector with a more enabling legislative framework that will allow product and service innovation to thrive,” says ABCUL CEO, Robert Kelly. “We genuinely believe that the opportunities that legislative reform will provide will be transformational and will create an environment where credit unions can foster their desire for a wider product and service range and our collective ability to appeal to a wide-ranging demographic across the country.”
Preparing for the future, Robert added: “Our ability to expand our reach and to harness the power of financial resilience in workplaces and communities across the country will be positively influenced by legislative reform. It represents a unique opportunity to level the playing field and allow credit unions to realise the enormous potential we have.”
Webinar participants will be entered into a prize draw for a complimentary registration to the World Council’s Conference in Glasgow in 2022 (T&C’s apply – must attend a live session, 1 entry per session attendance, conference delegate pass only, no travel or accommodation).
