The staff team at 1st Class Credit Union will be climbing Ben Nevis to help raise awareness and funds for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) Charity and for The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for Sick Kids in Glasgow, next month.

Most cases of ALL develop in children, teenagers, and young adults. ALL is the most common type of leukaemia that affects children. Around 85% of the cases that affect children happen to those younger than the age of 15.

There is extra motivation for the climb, 1st Class’ CEO, Gayle Adnyana will be raising funds to support her niece, Ruby who was diagnosed with a brain tumour on New Year’s Eve 2019, and is having additional specialist treatment in Paris, France over the next few months.

The fundraising target for the group is £2,000. We know times are tough. We would massively appreciate and be grateful for any help you can give in helping us reach our goal. The team will be making the climb on Saturday, 20th August 2022.

“The staff team are keen to raise money for charities which have affected them on a personal level, Gayle said. “I’m extremely proud of their decision to choose these charities and to push themselves to achieve something so challenging.”
