The Yorkshire and Northeast Forum would like to extend an invitation to attend their Underwriting Master Class on Friday 6th September.

Loan underwriting is a core process for all credit unions so Yorkshire and the Northeast forum have arranged a full day of learning and networking for staff and officers who are involved in assessing loan applications and shaping policy.

The event will be held 09:30 – 16:30 on Friday 6th September at The Principal, close to York train station.

Lunch and refreshments will be available.

The day will be jointly led by Andrew Naden, Member Relationship Manager at ABCUL and Sarah Woodcock, Lending Manager at TransaveUK Credit Union. We will explore a wide range of lending-related topics including shaping and improving loan policies, decision criteria and how these are influenced by risk, use of data from CRAs, interpretation of open banking and other information collected, managing underwriting volumes and perhaps most important dealing with members throughout the loan application process.
