We are finding that for most of the population that we serve the concept of ‘credit union’ isn’t well understood. (The exception to that are people from backgrounds where credit unions have the lions share of retail banking – e.g. Ireland, the Carribean and parts of Africa.) Has anyone done research on the impact of using other trading names including the phrase ‘Community Bank’ or ‘Savings and Loans’??
