Recurring system issues in Curtains

    Hello everyone,

A question for the Curtains users amongst us:

Over the last year we’ve had 4 incidences where our End of Day balances are out. Each time it has been a system issue, and only Sercle are able to fix it after taking control of a machine and going into an admin account. They’ve confirmed each time there’s nothing we could have done to fix it ourselves, or to prevent it from happening. I’ve asked them to give me some reassurance that they are actively looking into this, as it wastes hours of our time (we have to go through the same checks every time before we can be certain it’s a system issue), and worse than that it means I can’t completely trust our system. Their response is that given the high number of transactions, and each one carrying a very small chance of an error, over a long enough period of time errors are inevitable. While I don’t fully accept that, it would mean that other credit unions also experience the same issues, so… is anyone else? If not, then it’ll change the tone of my response.

    Thanks

    John
