The past week every outgoing payment of £10k or above has been withheld by the bank fraud system. This has resulted in someone having to spend 30 mins each time on the phone with them answering their standard scripted questions which seem aimed more at a pensioner who might be fooled into paying an African prince that has emailed them to ask for money.
I’m all in favour of fraud prevention but i cant have a member of staff wasting time on the phone to the bank every day answering the same scripted questions whenever we want to make payments.
Is anyone else seeing this change of bank behaviour?
