In the last week, ABCUL’s Town Hall Consultation events have visited Taunton, Cardiff and Birmingham.
A total of 66 credit union professionals from 46 credit unions attended three different town hall events in the space of seven days, ABCUL Chief Executive, Robert Kelly described as “a great experience for me and the ABCUL staff. Despite each region having its own local identity as a credit union sector and local influences, it’s been very clear that they all share the same level of enthusiasm to move forward and shape our future strategy together.”
Delegates continued the theme of interactive participation, submitting questions to the room and voting on live polling questions to help shape the future strategy of the British credit union sector.
Robert added: “It’s been great to see members and non-members participate on our event app. We look forward to sharing the results of each Town Hall meeting in the coming months, which will give you an insight and a broader perspective to how the sector in England, Scotland and Wales wants to move forward.
“With just one more Town Hall event left, next month in York, everyone on the ABCUL staff and board team is excited to see genuine consensus emerge as we establish a shared 2025 vision for British credit unions.”
