Clockwise Credit Union, which serves people living or working in Leicestershire and Rutland,  featured as ‘Story of the Day’ at the www.stories.coop website on Wednesday 18 January.

The website is featuring the stories of co-operatives around the world on a daily basis as part of the celebrations around the United Nations International Year of Co-operatives 2012 (IYC).  IYC culminates in October with a international expo at Manchester Central, chosen for its proximity to Rochdale which, with its role in the formation of the original co-operative principles, is considered the spiritual home of the co-operative movement.

Clockwise were delighted to have a short account of their 20 year history selected as a story of the day.  Clockwise recently moved into modern new premises in central Leicester and last year were visited by Secretary of State for Work & Pensions, Iain Duncan Smith MP.  The story can be accessed here: http://www.stories.coop/stories/written/clockwise-credit-union
